Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 16th October, 2026

Welcome to KnotKitchen. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of KnotKitchen's website, software, POS system, applications, integrations, and related services.

By registering for or using KnotKitchen, you agree to these Terms. Where a restaurant has signed the KnotKitchen Restaurant Service Agreement, that Agreement prevails over these Terms.

1. About KnotKitchen

KnotKitchen provides technology solutions for restaurants and food businesses, including POS, billing, order management, integrations, digital presence, restaurant management tools, and related services.

2. Account Registration

To use certain KnotKitchen services, you may be required to create an account.

You agree to:

3. Subscription Plans

KnotKitchen offers one POS plan with optional add-ons, as listed on the pricing page and in the application.

KnotKitchen may change its prices for future renewals only after giving at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application, as the Restaurant Service Agreement provides.

4. Payments

KnotKitchen charges (the POS Plan, add-ons, platform fees on orders paid online, e-bill charges and applicable taxes) are prepaid from the restaurant's KnotKitchen Wallet, which is not refundable except as stated in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Tablets and printers are bought outright and paid for online. Any other fees must be paid as the applicable agreement provides.

When a customer pays online for an order placed through the restaurant's KnotKitchen website or table QR, a platform fee is added to the customer's bill as a separate “Platform fee” line, shown before payment. The restaurant collects it with the order payment through its own payment gateway account, and the same amount is then deducted from its Wallet. No platform fee applies to cash or counter payments, and a platform fee already deducted is credited back to the Wallet if the order is cancelled or rejected. KnotKitchen notifies the restaurant by email of the platform fee and the e-bill charge, and of any change to them.

Failure to complete payment may result in suspension or termination of applicable services.

5. Software and Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable and continuous service. However, temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical issues, internet connectivity, third-party services, infrastructure failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Third-Party Integrations

KnotKitchen may provide integrations with third-party platforms and services.

The availability and functionality of such integrations may depend on the respective third-party provider. KnotKitchen is not responsible for changes, outages, restrictions, or failures caused by third-party platforms.

7. Hardware

Tablets and printers sold by KnotKitchen are delivered, returned and refunded as the Shipping Policy, Return Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy describe.

8. User Content and Business Data

You retain ownership of the business information and content you submit to KnotKitchen.

You grant KnotKitchen the necessary permission to process and use such information solely for providing, maintaining, securing, and improving the services, subject to applicable law.

9. Prohibited Use

You must not:

10. Intellectual Property

The KnotKitchen name, branding, software, interface, designs, logos, content, and technology are owned by or licensed to KnotKitchen and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No ownership rights are transferred to you through use of the service.

11. Suspension or Termination

KnotKitchen may suspend or terminate an account if the user violates these Terms, fails to make required payments, engages in fraudulent or abusive activity, or creates a security or legal risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KnotKitchen will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business losses arising from the use or inability to use the service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will publish the latest version on the KnotKitchen website. A change that reduces a restaurant's rights or increases its obligations applies to it only after at least 30 days' notice by email and in the application, and with its express acceptance in the application or in writing. Until it accepts, the existing terms continue to apply to it.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. A dispute is first raised in writing, and the parties will try to resolve it by negotiation. A dispute not resolved within 30 days of that notice is finally resolved by arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat and venue in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, in English. Either party may seek interim relief from a competent court, and a claim may still be brought before any statutory forum whose jurisdiction cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to this, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India have jurisdiction.
